Karaoke Mixed Tape: The Prologue – Tonight from 7-9pm

Presented by Pedestal and the All-Girl Band (Paige Tighe and Hataya Tubtim) of Otis Public Practice. This event is inspired by the Laton Project where one of THE only social activities we could do was Karaoke at the only restaraunt/bar in town. Singing familiar pop songs bonded us to each other and the townsfolk who joined us.

We have entitled this event ‘the prologue’ because it is the forerunner to other events in which will take people’s personal song lists and turn them into Karaoke playlists for others to sing. On
Saturday we will have a Karaoke machine with 1200 songs which guests can choose to sing from and a DJ (Pedestal) for those who just want to dance. During the event we will ask participants to give us their song lists, which they can either submit right there or online. The online submissions will be ongoing until our next event in Los Angeles.

This event is free and open to the public.
